The X3 Canopy is purpose built for the Toyota LC79 factory tray at 1600mm — no adapting, no shimming, no guesswork. It's the same canopy fleet operators run on six week outback supply routes, because it has to work every single day or the truck doesn't go out.

Every panel is 1.6mm cold rolled steel, thicker than the aftermarket standard, and finished in a five stage powder coat matched to Toyota's factory paint codes so it disappears into the line of the tray rather than sitting on top of it like an accessory.

It was designed alongside fleet operators who needed something that would survive corrugated dirt roads, sudden downpours, and months between proper servicing — so nothing about the X3 is decorative. Every weld, hinge, and seal is there because a truck out on a six week run doesn't get a second chance if it fails.

Installation Guide

The X3 bolts directly onto the LC79's existing factory tie down points, so there's no drilling and no modification to the tray. A certified installer typically completes the fit in around 90 minutes. Doorstep self install is possible with a second set of hands and takes roughly half a day, mostly spent aligning the canopy squarely before final torque on the mounting bolts.

Care & Maintenance

Rinse road salt and dirt off the seals and hinge points after long trips, especially if the truck has been run on coastal or winter roads. The powder coat holds up well on its own, but an occasional wipe down with a non abrasive cleaner keeps the factory matched finish looking new. Check gas strut tension every few months — if a window starts drifting down on its own, it's time for a strut replacement under warranty.
